Busy and quiet periods
On a Monday between 8.30 and 10.00am we can get over 300 calls
- The phones are busiest between 8.30am and 10.00am, please consider if your call can wait until after this time
- If you call before 10.00 am with a general or complex query we may ask if we can call you back later
- The phones are less busy on Fridays
- The phones are very quite during the extended hours period on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, why not call then for results, pre-bookable appointments for the doctor or nurse or general enquires
- Test results are only available after 2pm
- Many more doctor appointments are now available to book 2 weeks in advance
- Nurse appointments can be booked several months ahead

- The queue usually moves along quickly, especially at busy times. It is usually more cost effective to hang on rather than redial
