SWINE FLU VACCINATION

If you are eligible for vaccination we should have contacted you either by telephone or post to invite you for an appointment  Priorities for vaccination have been set by the Chief Medical Officer – we have already identified the patients in these groups.

1.     Those who are immunocompromised 

2.     Under 18 year olds in all clinical at risk groups.

3.     Frontline health care staff

4.     Pregnant women

      5.   18 – 65 year olds in clinical at risk groups

6.     Household contacts of those who are immunocompromised.

7.     Carers – this group will also include those who provide front line social care.

      8.   Over 65 year olds who have an underlying health problem in clinical at risk groups. i.e not all > 65years. This is different to seasonal flu jab.

   9.      Children between 6months and 5 years of age
