Patients on regular medication will receive a repeat prescription slip attached to their prescription. Please either hand this slip in at reception or post it to us clearly marking which items are required. Do not add any other items to this slip. Forms are available from reception should you require a repeat of any medication that is not on your repeat slip.
For safety reasons, prescriptions are not dealt with over the telephone so please either bring or send your side-slip to the surgery or request your prescription on-line via the link on this page.

Repeat prescriptions take two days to process. For example, a repeat prescription left at the surgery on Monday will be ready for collection at 8.30am on Wednesday. Please plan ahead to ensure that you do not run out of your medication. Should you require your prescription to be posted, please provide a stamped addressed envelope.
Your repeat medication needs to be reviewed by the doctor regularly. The review date will be stated on the repeat slip; please allow time for this as the prescription will take an additional day to be issued. Following this review the doctor may leave a message for you on the next side-slip. Please take note of these messages.
If you receive regular medication for a stable condition you may be eligible to participate in a scheme which provides repeat prescriptions for a six or twelve month period at one time. Please ask the doctor about this on your next visit.
Collection
You can collect your prescription from the surgery during opening hours (including extended hours) however most local pharmacies operate a collection service for patients. These schemes can simplify the repeat prescription process for you and when combined with On-line ordering means you can collect your prescription from the pharmacy without needing to visit the surgery at all.
